Terri Sterling Donovan, APR, is principal of Sterling Communications, a 28-year-old marketing communications, marketing research, public engagement and public relations firm.
Sterling Communications serves clients with strategy, messaging, content and execution to grow their businesses and organizations. Terri is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Sterling Communications develops marketing communications and public relations plans, strong promotions and creative ideas for the Web, digital marketing, media relations, traditional marketing and advertising. A special interest is public engagement, public involvement and stakeholder engagement for planning, land development and economic development.
Terri conducts market research through focus groups and one-on-one interviews and is trained in focus group moderation by world leader Burke Institute.
Terri has won multiple awards from PRSA; was the 2010 Nashville ATHENA nominee from RutherfordCABLE; and is currently a Master’s degree candidate at MTSU in Mass Communications.
Terri is the founding President of RutherfordCABLE, a business and professional organization with more than 260 members today; a two-term member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Executive Committee; and the recipient of the 2003 Chairman’s Award from the Chamber.
Terri is a founding Board Member of Rutherford Books from Birth and a founding member of the Chamber’s Women’s Business Council.
Terri completed the Transit Citizens Leadership Academy at Lipscomb University. She is a graduate of the inaugural class of the RutherfordCABLE and MTSU Honors College Center for Executive Leadership program, sponsored by Nissan. Terri serves as a Board Member of Discovery Center at Murfree Spring and the Murfreesboro Cold Patrol.
